On going projects

A. a. Establishing a collection of different species of lemon.

     b. Studying their sensitivity to different pests, determining new

         mutations and also protect and improve local species.

     c. 6years.

B. Studying the factors that cause mature fruits of grapefruit trees to fall down abnormally and

     the  methods of prevention.

  C. Establishing a compendium of local and foreign grape varieties that can be the base for

       further  studies.


Achievements 

 -Diagnosing fungal diseases attacking vegetables on greenhouses.

 -Soil solarisation and its effects on soil pests.

 -Using pistachio as organic fertilizer and studying its effects on reducing   nematodes and pests

   at  greenhouses.

 -Studying the resistance of certain tomato and cucumber species to some diseases  and their

   productivity

 -Studying biological characteristics of a lemon species (Improved Meyer) and its sensibility to  

   Malseco on different rootstocks at Aakar.

- Papaya characteristics at Aakar.


Major Constraints/Needs A machine for water distillation, a control microscope (Binocular), an autoclave, a climatised incubator.
