Lebaa Station

The main conducted researches at Lebaa Station aim to help farmers in order to increase their agricultural production and quality based on the results of many experiments.

1- The influence of different application method of irrigation upon production of olive, using lysimeters to assess water demand.

2- The influence of moisture stress and the amount of applied nitrogen fertilizers upon crop production.

3- Establishment of new application practice of fertilizers and pesticides in order to reduce their application amount and eliminate their risk potential for ground water contamination

Cooperation: with Dr. Salah Eddine Issa and Dr. Elia Choueri

The previous findings at Lebaa, revealed that the used new agricultural practices reduced the amount of applied pesticides up to 25% and irrigation water up to 40%, indicating: Low cost; no pollution; high production quality and quantity.

The introduction of biological fertilizer
